We take pride in what we do, but don't just take our word for it. Below we have compiled some feedback about our staff so you can read what they have to say about us.
Parent of a Young Child
"From our first meeting with Megan, [my son] was in safe hands! Let me walk you through our journey if I can put in words what she has done and contributed through her hard work for our family. [My son] was admitted to hospital in December 2019, he presented with challenging behaviour which included biting, kicking, punching, anxiety and demanding repetitive behaviour.
It was very difficult to manage and maintain a normal life as this was constant. It was as if at times, he could not control it. Megan met [my son] and prepared his discharge plan with her manager which all the support workers adhered to. Megan was his keyworker at the time and was truly instrumental in his recovery back to baseline.
There were times when [my son's] behaviour was too much to the point of even harming the support workers. Megan always showed empathy, understanding and never took any of it personally. However, she persevered applying her training to any given challenge [my son] presented. Nothing is too much to ask or difficult if it concerns the health, safety, and welfare of [my son], I could always rely on Megan."
Parent of a Young Adult
"Mimi has a lovely nature and personality; she not only took the time to watch and see how to interact with [our daughter], as well as how to manage her when she is physically aggressive towards others. Mimi engages extremely well with [our daughter] and is a joy to have in our home. Mimi takes a holistic approach and sees relationships within the family and how they work.
Having Mimi as such a capable member of the very small team of people who can support [our daughter] has made a huge difference to our family and the mornings are no longer a boiling point for us. My husband can now go to work on time and not be concerned about needing to be around to help and the strain off me has been such a huge help. Highlighted even more when I was hospitalised and we didn’t have to be concerned what this impact would have on [our daughter], in her morning routine at least.
Mimi is very approachable, has a lovely calm manner and a fun side that [our daughter] adores. This added to her natural ability and skills she has acquired working with children and young adults with learning disabilities makes her a great asset to her employers and ultimately our families."
